Sixth Floor Museum on Flickr.

This is the place by the Elm Street and Houston Street in downtown Dallas, where President John F. Kennedy was shot during his November campaign in 1963. He died in a while at the nearby Parkland Hospital.

He was shot from the then Texas Textbook Depository (the building on the left), from the window at the far right on the sixth floor. Today the place serves as a memorial museum for JFK, named as the Sixth Floor Museum.

The place on the Elm Street towards I-30 (on the right corner of the photo), where the fatal shot is believed to have hit the President, is currently marked with an X mark on the road.
